Terminal 3 Immigration Queuesalmost 3 years ago Community Manager
Long immigration queues at Dubai International Airport will soon be a thing of the past as the General Directorate for Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai (GDRFA-Dubai) will soon be eliminating the ‘departure point’ at Terminal 3.
Announcing this in a press statement, the GDRFA-Dubai said: “Given the flow of passengers at Dubai International Airport, GDRFA-Dubai is going to cancel the departure point at Terminal 3.”
It said passengers will be able to walk through without the need to stand in a queue as their details will be sent in advance to passport control officers via Emirates airline after their tickets are booked.
Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Marri, Director-General of GDRFA-Dubai said: “We want our clients to enjoy a fast and hassle-free travel. Our staff work efficiently to ensure a swift and smooth arrival and departure process.”
With Dubai Airport being the world’s busiest airport, he said GDRFA handled more than 71 million passengers in 2014, a number that is expected to go up to 78 million by the end of this year.
